Book Club #29 with fabulous henna artist Payal Gupta! This was so much fun!!!!! Payal is an absolutely amazing artist and our book discussion was definitely enriched by her being there. She added her own tidbits about henna practice and lore. Also, I want to add that these women have a beautiful tradition. They keep a book of all their book club reads. One of their members, who is an artist, draws on the page of the book her impressions of the book’s cover. Then everyone else signs the book. Over the ten years they’ve been meeting as a group they have filled many of their own books this way. 2015/01/img_6297.jpg
